Creating a Shareable Link for Students to Log In to a Lesson

Every activity in Vizzle can be shared as a direct link. This is useful when you want a student to jump straight into a specific activity — for example, from a Google Classroom post, an email, or a QR code — without navigating the Lessons library themselves.

This article walks through two ways to get to an activity's Share Link, and explains the one setting you must check any time the link is going to a student.

⚠️ Important: If the link is being shared with a student, always select Require Student Login before copying the link. This ensures the student's activity and performance data are recorded against their account. If this box is left unchecked, the student can complete the activity, but their results will not be saved.

Option A: Starting from Activity View

Use this path when you already know the exact activity you want to share and don't need to browse by topic or unit.

Step 1: Filter to the activity in Activity View

  1. Go to Lessons.
  2. Under Filters, select Activity View.
  3. Set your Content Library, Subject, and Grade filters (or use Search) to locate the activity.
  4. Click Detail on the activity you want to share.

Step 2: Open the Share Link menu

On the activity's detail page, click the ⋮ (more options) menu in the top right, then select Share Link.

Continue to "Copy the link and require student login" below.

Option B: Drilling down from Topic View

Use this path when you're browsing by unit and topic and want to pick a specific level and activity along the way.

Step 1: Filter to the topic in Topic View

  1. Go to Lessons.
  2. Under Filters, select Topic View.
  3. Set your Content Library, Subject, and Grade filters to locate the topic.
  4. Click Detail on the topic you want.

Step 2: Choose the level and locate the activity

On the topic's detail page, use the Select a level to view/assign dropdown to pick the correct level (for example, Level 2). The list of activities for that level appears below the dropdown.

Step 3: Open the specific activity

Click the activity's name in the list (for example, Sorting – L2) to open its detail page.

Step 4: Open the Share Link menu

On the activity's detail page, click the ⋮ (more options) menu in the top right, then select Share Link.

Continue to "Copy the link and select require student login" to collect data below. If the copy button is selected and no login is required the lesson can be played by anyone (easy sharing to parents on a newsletter or other.
